Kickin It Old School

I had no idea what this movie was about before watching it, and when it began I thought "oh no, what have I done?" But as the movie progressed it became funnier and funnier.
Its starts in 1986 at a "dance off" where a young kid named Justin (Jamie Kennedy) tries a radical new move that lands him in a coma for twenty years. Upon awakening Justin is still a child in the 80's but in a grown mans body in 2006. It sounds lame and has been done many times before, but the situations Justin finds himself in are hilarious.
The humour of this movie is part slap-stick and part make-you-sick with a bit of political incorrectness thrown in. It probably won't appeal to everyone especially anyone who doesn't get the 80's references, but it is sure to offend almost everyone. Its in the same vain as the America Pie movies only it goes ten steps dirtier and twenty steps funnier and doesn't take itself seriously at all.
Sometimes the whole story line is a bit weak and the dialogue is a tedious, but something outrageously funny and unexpected will happen to make up for it. Towards the end of the movie it becomes more about break dancing than anything else, but if you don't like dancing the jokes will soon take your mind off it.
When a movie makes you laugh out loud and rewind scenes because something was just THAT funny you can't help but feel good, even if its one of the silliest/ low brow things you have ever seen. Sometimes its just good to laugh and this movie is definitely good for that.
