Your text goes hereThe film is titled Meet Dave. It could also be known as another step towards the end of Eddie Murphy's career. Maybe it's because he's been going through a lot of stuff in his life... divorce, crazy relationship with Scary Spice, and the whole 'is he the dad or isn't he' issue. The man was comedic genius in the 80's and 90's. However, it's been falling short lately. Really, ever since the Nutty Professor.
The idea of the film was sort of clever. Dave is an alien space ship that looks and (sort of) acts like a human male. Dave is manned by a crew of aliens who apparently have very little emotion prior to reaching earth. They've come to steal the earth's oceans in order to help their home planet survive, even though this would cause the distruction of earth. Dave makes friends with a young boy and his mom and there is a feeling that maybe a love story will arise from the relationship. Long story short, the crew develop emotions, over throw the captain and then the usurping captain as well, and escape the clutches of the FBI in a wing tipped emergency shuttle.
It's an ok flick, if you're desperatly bored, and want to watch something mildly amusing. 2 stars of 10.Your text goes here
